STIGA autonomous robot mowers are cable-free. The installation is virtual and the working perimeter of the robot can be adapted anytime. With the patented AGS technology, the robot can plan mowing sessions intelligently. You have full of your robot from the STIGA.GO app. STIGA A 10 000 cares for lawns up to 10 000 sqm. it is provided with an included connectivity pack of 8750 mowing hours which is equivalent to 4 years of mowing.

If you have a large garden of about 10,000m2, keeping the lawn looking its best won't be an impossible task if you schedule the mowing correctly and find the time to fit it in around other responsibilities. Designed with absolute precision, the STIGA A 10000 is one of the highest-specification autonomous robotic lawn mowers in the autonomous range.

Other autonomous robot mowers may lose signal or be affected by obstacles in built-up areas, meaning you would have to intervene to have them get the job finished – but STIGA A 10000 autonomous robotic lawn mower, with the STIGA patented Active Guidance System (AGS) technology, memorises GPS signal quality at different times of day and intelligently plans ahead for the best results, by constantly communicating with its reference station through a 4G connection.

The STIGA A 10000 autonomous robotic mower knows exactly when, where and how to cut your grass to keep your lawn healthy. The installation is completely virtual, which means that the working area can be set via the App - ask your dealer for advice for the first installation. If your garden layout changes, simply open the STIGA.GO app and teach your STIGA A 10000 the new details - all via the App.

Having STIGA ePower at its heart, combined with the RTK AGS technology based on a 4G signal, STIGA A 10000 can maintain absolute accuracy of location and plan the most methodical coverage and time-efficient route.  The next session will always start where the previous one stopped, so the robot can care for the whole surface by cutting different zones every day.

Every element of the STIGA A 10000 robotic lawnmower has been carefully engineered: 6 razor blades, mounted on a wheel that rotates at 2400 rpm, deliver the best possible cutting results. Because the blades are free to rotate, they can be safely moved out of the way if they come into contact with a solid object. The blades are made from a special forged metal compound. This maintains a sharp edge. In the unlikely event that a blade is damaged, the simple assembly of the cutting deck means that it can be easily replaced.

Explore the app in-depth at your convenience, adding settings for different cutting heights, up to 10 different cutting zones, stay-away times or exclusion zones when needed. For optimum lawn health, activate the grass care cutting path function to automatically alternate mow patterns.

Set stay-away times and exclusion zones and your STIGA A 10000 will learn exactly when and where it’s convenient to mow. Or integrate with your voice assistant to give your mower spoken commands.

How does the STIGA autonomous robot lawnmower work?

Our autonomous robot mowers cut the grass within a virtual boundary. The perimeter is set via the App, meaning there is no boundary cable. The STIGA autonomous robot mowers don't need a physical perimeter wire, as they are guided by GNSS-RTK signal, combined with the predictive STIGA AGS technology. The robot is a maintaining mower which means it does not collect grass, but instead scatters the grass clippings on the lawn that then decompose acting as a natural fertiliser. Programmed to trim the lawn at scheduled intervals, it automatically knows when to return to the charging station.

What is the AGS technology installed on STIGA autonomous robot mowers and how does it work?

STIGA’s patented Active Guidance System technology ‘learns and maps’ the dynamics of your garden, along with the patterns of GPS Satellite blind spots, as the robot moves throughout the day. This way, it allows the robotic lawn mower to plan cutting sessions ahead, knowing exactly when and where to cut, in order to never lose signal and avoiding the risk of stoppages. You don't need to intervene or do anything; after a learning phase (usually 3 days after activating the robot mower), the robot mower will have mapped both your lawn and the sky above it, knowing exactly when and where satellite signal is strong enough for it to mow uninterrupted.

Why does the autonomous robot mower need a reference station?

STIGA autonomous robotic lawn mowers work with RTK-GPS technology. RTK-GPS technology uses a fixed datum point called a ‘Base Station’ - what we call ‘Reference Station’. The reference station tracks signals from as many GPS satellites as possible in ‘real time’ to establish its own global location. The reference station, which will be located in your garden, and the robot mower are in constant communication, allowing the robot mower’s location to be accurate to within 1 and 4 centimetres. The reference station and the robotic lawn mower communicate via 4G cellular data signal.

Can a STIGA autonomous robot lawn mower work at night?

Yes, STIGA autonomous robotic lawn mowers could potentially mow at night, but we strongly recommend to have them working only during daylight hours, possibly in the suggested cutting sessions (the STIGA.GO app will recommend them for you, depending on your lawn's dimensions). As grass is very humid at night and the garden is occupied by nightlife, such as small insects or hedgehogs, we recommend for both nurturing lawn health and respecting the ecosystem to not schedule cutting sessions overnight.

Can a STIGA autonomous robot lawn mower work in the rain?

Yes, the STIGA autonomous robot lawn mower is able to operate in the rain; however, we recommend that you activate the rain sensors as mowing wet grass can ruin the lawn. When the sensors detect rain, the robot mower will then automatically return to the charging station and wait for the next working cycle.

Why is it recommended that you send your autonomous robot mower out twice a day?

One of the main reasons is related to lawn health... and also to your time on the lawn! By scheduling 2 daily cutting sessions in two specific time frames, the lawn will have the time to recover and stand up again. The autonomous robot mowers leave a minimum of 5 hours between mows. By doing that, the grass has plenty of time to seal in the moisture and heal from the 'injury' of the last cut, before the next mow. Then, with just 2 mowing cycles a day the autonomous robot mower leaves more than enough time between cuts for the grass blades to properly recover, stand up proud again, and continue to grow healthy.

How many cutting patterns does the STIGA autonomous robot mower have?

Through the STIGA.GO App, users can decide to make their STIGA autonomous robot mower mow in parallel lines from North-South, parallel lines from East-West, or they can choose to mow diagonally. The fluidity of the movements, as well as the cutting speed, has been accurately studied to promote lawn health.

Does the STIGA robot lawnmower collect grass clippings?

No, the STIGA autonomous robot mower does not collect grass. It does a sort of mulching, which means that grass clippings are scattered onto the lawn that then decompose acting as a natural fertiliser.

Does the robot mower have a remote control?

The STIGA autonomous robot mower is fully controllable via the STIGA.GO App on your mobile phone. From the very first installation, you have complete control of your robot through the STIGA.GO App on your phone.

How does the autonomous robot mower find its charging station?

During installation, the STIGA autonomous robotic lawn mower records the position of both the charging and reference station. These two elements can be installed in the same position or two different locations, depending on the shape of your garden. Once the position of the charging base has been recorded, your robot mower will have no issues navigating back to base once your lawn has been taken care of.

Can the robot lawnmower cross a path between lawn areas?

Yes, the STIGA autonomous robotic lawn mower can follow a path between lawn areas, even through narrow spaces. You just need to be sure that the signal is stable even in those locations. During the perimeter registration, you will need to record the pathway, including those narrow spaces, considering the internet connection and the possible presence of obstacles.
